Booking & Confirmation
What details do I need to supply when I book?
Please enter the email address you check most often and a mobile number so we can send confirmations, reminders, and last-minute updates if needed.
How and when will I receive my confirmation?
A confirmation email should arrive after your booking or within one business day, depending on the checkout or form system used.
- Check your spam or junk folder if you do not see it.
- If you still do not receive it, email support@learn.360ism.com and we will resend it.
What if I typed the wrong contact information?
Let us know immediately at support@learn.360ism.com so we can correct your details. Missed notices caused by incorrect contact information may affect refund or rescheduling eligibility.
Do I need a ticket or confirmed booking?
Yes. Tickets or confirmed registrations are required for all classes, workshops, and photo walk-alongs, including free events. This helps us cap attendance, prepare the host, and maintain the class experience.
Please do not arrive without a confirmed booking. Hosts may have to turn away unregistered guests.
Payment Policy
What payment methods do you accept?
We may accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, WooPayments, and buy-now-pay-later options such as Afterpay or Affirm when available at checkout.
Can I pay by PayPal or electronic funds transfer?
PayPal and EFT payments must be completed in advance. EFT bookings for fewer than five seats may include a 10% manual-handling fee. Contact us for details before registering by EFT.
How do group bookings work?
Group bookings of five or more seats must be paid at least seven days before class. This allows us to properly reserve seats, staffing, and class resources.
When must payments clear?
All payments should clear at least 48 hours before class unless otherwise stated on the registration form. Seats may be released if payment is not completed on time.
Do prices vary?
Yes. Prices vary by class length, instructor, location, model/talent needs, equipment supplied, and whether the event is a standard class, specialty workshop, private lesson, or creative shoot session.
Before Class
What camera should I bring?
A DSLR or mirrorless camera is best for most classes. Some beginner classes may also be helpful for advanced compact camera users, but the strongest results come from cameras that allow manual settings.
Does camera brand matter?
No. Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, Olympus, and other camera brands are welcome. The goal is to help you understand core photography principles that apply across most camera systems.
What should I bring to class?
- Your camera
- A lens
- A fully charged battery
- A memory card with space available
- Any flash, trigger, or accessory requested on the class registration form
- A notebook or phone for notes
Do I need experience before taking a beginner class?
No. Beginner classes are designed for people who are just getting started, coming back to photography, or tired of guessing with camera settings.
Can I take an advanced class if I have not taken the beginner classes?
Yes, if you already understand the required skills. However, if you are not comfortable with exposure, focus, or manual mode, we recommend starting with the Beginner Photography Bootcamp.
Age Guidelines, Mobility & Accessibility
Can students under 18 attend?
Participants under 18 must attend with a supervising adult unless otherwise approved. The adult only needs a ticket if they also plan to shoot or actively participate.
Are classes family-friendly?
Standard beginner workshops may be appropriate for younger students, but age suitability depends on the class. Some specialty workshops may include mature creative themes and may be restricted to adults. Contact us before registering a minor.
What if I need mobility assistance or seating breaks?
Most sessions involve walking, standing, and moving around studio or location environments. Email us before booking if you use mobility aids, need seating breaks, or need other assistance. We will do our best to adapt the class or suggest a better-fitting session.
Locations, Future Dates & Weather
Where are classes held?
Classes may be held at 360ism Studios, outdoor locations, rooftops, parks, private venues, Airbnbs, or other approved class locations. Each registration form or class listing will include the exact meeting point, parking notes, and any gear checklist when available.
Are classes only in Richmond, Virginia?
Photography Classes by 360ism is based in Richmond, Virginia, but classes may expand into other cities, partner venues, and special workshop locations.
Where can I find future dates?
Upcoming dates will appear on the Home page, registration forms, calendar sections, or class announcement posts. Subscribe to updates if you want early notice when new dates are added.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Outdoor classes may be cancelled, relocated, or rescheduled for severe weather. We aim to decide 24–48 hours in advance, but borderline forecasts may require a later decision.
If we cancel due to weather or safety concerns, you may transfer to the rescheduled date or follow the options provided in the cancellation notice.
Cancellations & Reschedules
What is the refund policy?
Refund requests must generally be made within 48 hours after the initial ticket purchase unless a different refund rule is stated on the specific class or registration form.
Can I reschedule?
Free rescheduling may be available up to 48 hours before class, subject to availability. The same booking may be rescheduled up to three times unless otherwise approved.
What happens if I miss class?
No-shows and last-minute cancellations are generally not eligible for refunds or credits. Contact support as soon as possible if there is an emergency.
What if 360ism cancels or reschedules the class?
If we cancel or reschedule a class due to weather, instructor illness, venue issues, safety concerns, low enrollment, or other operational reasons, we will notify registered students by email and/or SMS with next steps.
Sold-Out Classes, New Class Ideas & Wait Lists
Do classes sell out?
Yes. Some classes and workshops have limited seats because we want students to receive real guidance and hands-on support.
Do you keep a wait list?
We may not keep a formal wait list for every class. If a class is sold out, check the site, subscribe for updates, or post interest in the Facebook group. Strong interest can help trigger an additional date.
Can I suggest a new class?
Yes. Post your idea in the Facebook group or send it through the contact form. If enough photographers show interest, we may schedule a special session.
Examples could include night street portraits, rain-room cinematic lighting, RGB lighting, travel portraits, posing, or business development for photographers.
Photos, Models & Media Use
Can I use the photos I take during class?
In most classes, students may use their own photos for portfolio, educational, and social media purposes, subject to any model release, class rules, location rules, or usage restrictions announced for that specific session.
Are model releases provided?
When a model, muse, or talent is provided, usage rights may be controlled by a model release or workshop-specific agreement. Always review the release before posting or using images commercially.
Can I use class images commercially?
Commercial usage depends on the class, model release, location, and subject matter. Some classes may allow portfolio and social media use only unless additional permission is granted.
Will 360ism take behind-the-scenes photos or video?
We may capture behind-the-scenes content during classes for educational, promotional, or recap purposes. Let us know before class if you have a concern about being photographed or recorded.
Private Lessons, Groups & Custom Workshops
Do you offer private photography lessons?
Yes. Private instruction may be available for individuals, small groups, teams, and photographers who need focused help with camera settings, lighting, posing, studio workflow, or creative business development.
Can a group book a custom class?
Yes. Custom group classes may be available for schools, organizations, creative teams, businesses, and photography groups. Contact us with your group size, skill level, goals, and preferred dates.
Do you offer corporate or brand training?
Yes. Training may be available for teams that need better photography, content creation, lighting, video basics, social media visuals, or in-house production skills.
