Practical photography education for beginners, hobbyists, and growing photographers who want to stop guessing and start understanding camera settings, lighting, posing, and creative execution.
Random videos can help, but they don’t replace structured teaching, real-time correction, and practical demonstrations inside a working studio.
Many photographers can take a nice picture but struggle to explain how they got it, repeat it, or fix it when the light changes. We build the fundamentals first.
Learn to take control of your camera instead of letting it make every decision.
Understand light in a simple, useful way so flash stops feeling like a mystery.
Post-production matters, but better images start with stronger capture and cleaner decisions.
Learn to think through settings, light, composition, and direction with intention.
Camera control, exposure, focus, and composition brought together in one structured experience.

Student reviews
Although I have been photographing for almost 7 decades, I learned 2 new tips. Daring is extremely knowledgeable and shares his knowledge with a relaxed, personal approach.
The class is very informative and has live interaction and feedback on how to use each of our cameras as it applies to class. The instructor is very experienced and the information is informative. It is well worth the investment!
I’m not sure what I expected from this class. I’ve watched many U-Tube videos on the subject and I guess expected the same thing, white marker board and a lecture on the triangle. I was surprised with the hands on exercises and feel it’s what you can’t get from a video.
The instructor has excellent command of the subject, was very patient, and answered all the questions raised during the class. Very calm, encouraged participants to exchange ideas and ask questions, valuing every question, even the most basic ones. I recommend the class.
Great! Our instructor was knowledgeable, very skilled in addressing the issues and questions raised by six photographers with varying skill levels and experience.
I really enjoyed this class, it was very informative and engaging. I am looking forward to part 2.
It was a hands on experience working directly and closely with model with guidance of the instructor Daring who was great in every class.
The hands on demo using the reflectors to place and shape light was helpful! It was good to have specific exercises around achieving a particular shot with the light.
I enjoyed the event. It was hands on experiential and I appreciate the effort that is made to give us best practices for capturing beautiful moments. This included learning about utilizing natural light with reflectors inside and out.
Daring was very knowledgeable and I enjoyed this class. I plan to sign up for another one soon.
I had a great time and learned a lot. Will be attending other events.
